Natalia González Figueroa
Natalia González Figueroa (b.1979.Buenos Aires) started her piano sudies when she was six years old and gave her first public performance at eight. From that moment on, she has been performing in concert in Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, Italy, France and the UK.
Her wide repertoire ranges from Bach to the contemporary composers. An ardent champion of the contemporary piano repertoire, she has given the first preformances of many piano and chamber music works of national and International composers, and many compositions were dedicated to her.
Her first CD “Concierto Tango” presents an innovative alternative: piano music of contemporary composers inspired by the tango genre.
Natalia graduated from the C.L.Buchardo Conservatoire in Buenos Aires, Department of Music of the National Universitary Institute of Arts (IUNA), where she studied under the guide of Profesor Laly Escobar. She continued her studies throughout Europe with scolarships from Fundación Carolina and Juventudes Musicales de Madrid in 2001 and the Italian Government in 2008, and won several prizes and honorable mentions.
She has taught Music Theory at the Department of Music of the IUNA in Buenos Aires for 5 years being among the youngest Professors of the Institute. She is at the moment Professor at the “Jose Hernández” Superior Institute of Music in Buenos Aires.
Natalia González Figueroa is a renown Ambassator of Argentinian Classical and Contemporary Music.
