beyond Tango

An initiative by Lunovis Verlag Berlin for emerging musicians and interpreters with professional ambitions to promote cultural exchange in the field of Contemporary Argentinian Chamber Music

beyond TANGO is an initiative by Lunovis Verlag Berlin to promote cultural exchange between Argentina and Europe, between classical music and tango, and between a composer and his interpreters. Lunovis Verlag Berlin is a small music publisher whose exclusive client is the Argentinian composer Pablo Aguirre. Within its capabilities, Lunovis Verlag Berlin aims both to support emergent musicians and promote cultural development.

The initiative addresses musicians with professional ambitions. It intends to offer the participants deeper insights into New Argentinian Chamber Music, as exemplified by the contemporary composer Pablo Aguirre and his opus. This intense, mutual cultural exchange is to be achieved by direct collaboration with the composer. In practice, this means that Mr Aguirre will be acting as the artistic director during a CD production and for a final concert. He will also be available for questions and as a consultant throughout the duration of the project. The project is designed to enable further collaboration between the participants even beyond its successful conclusion.
